As an organisation, we are committed to releasing potential in young people, that’s why we are so excited to welcome Gabrieli through our doors at King’s Park Conference Centre this week.
We asked Gabrieli to tell us a little bit more about who they are and what brings them to Northampton…
Gabrieli are an international choir and period instrument orchestra known for their innovative and exciting performances and recordings. Their renowned choral training scheme, Gabrieli Roar, offers British teenagers the opportunity to sing alongside renowned professional musicians. They have worked in partnership with DRET since 2016; this month they perform in Northampton for the first time.
On 19th June 2019 Gabrieli Roar will perform An English Coronation at All Saints’ Church. The concert will be a celebration of the music performed at the four joyful, extravagant coronations of the 20th century.
Gabrieli Artistic Director Paul McCreesh will conduct an ensemble of 100 singers, drawn from Gabrieli, the David Ross Education Trust Youth Choir and Tiffin Boys’ Choir to bring the history, ceremony and liturgy of these four extraordinary ceremonies to life in a programme for choir, organ and brass ensemble.
Intrigued? Take a look at their Facebook page to see clips from some of their recent performances.
